Hey guys,
hope you're all doing well - just a quick update to show how we're doing in London and when to expect your kits!
On the packaging side, we have everything here now - so that's some loooong days for me to assemble all the packaging and get them ready for your kits. Check out this quick video of the first packaging assembly 🤟
So we have all 550 units worth of packaging materials to get built up in the next few weeks. I have to say it looks really cool in person so I can't wait to have you see them in real life. The idea here is to promote long-lasting design and so the packaging is made to be kept too. No single-use plastic in its construction and a lot of protection for the parts in transit.
So we've experienced a bit of delay getting the parts just right, here's the latest video from our supplier of the brass pieces which look amazing...
So right now we have the following parts complete:
Front Scales - Clear PC, Brass & Sandblasted Titanium parts ready to ship to us.
The rest are in production still and should be ready to ship by 20th October.
In the meantime I'll be preparing all the Victorinox parts in their packaging - once the scales arrive it's just a case of adding them to the packs with the right crosses and shipping them out!
For the personalised sets, this should take around a week of processing.
In a nutshell, we're running around 2-3 weeks behind schedule, sorry about this but we should be able to start shipping towards the end of this month into the start of November. As there are a lot of orders to fulfil, we will be sending them out in batches. Either way, I want every single item out the door by 14th November so that's what I'm working towards as a hard stop!
I'll be listening to a fair amount of audible & podcasts as I do the assembly from our HQ in Hackney. Does anyone have any recommendations for good shows?
Thanks guys, can't wait to start shipping & thanks again for your patience!
