Hey guys,
Alex here, hope you're all doing well; in this update, I'd like to run through our production plans to make sure you all get your kits quickly and at the highest quality. We've also got another stretch goal for that last push for our final days of funding. Thanks again to everyone that's backed, shared and shown support for this project. We're a tiny business (just two people), and we wouldn't be able to keep going without your support! ❤️
Project Timeline Update
This is our 3rd Kickstarter campaign, and so far, we've always shipped on time. We've pushed to do everything to supply the very best product in the most creative packaging we can make. This time is no exception, and we couldn't be more excited to get started on the full production run.
The critical moment in production is approving the production samples - this acts as a benchmark for the quality we expect during production. Our suppliers have an excellent track record of delivering high-quality goods. Still, we want to keep this up, so we'll also be implementing quality checks as the production progresses.
The Brass Build: Up Close
Since the campaign launched, we've been testing and shooting more photos of the brass version - we're happy to say it's looking pretty epic - here are a few of our latest snaps.
Brass is the default choice for all of our kits, but you can also upgrade to clear polycarbonate or sandblasted titanium in the add-ons section.
500 Backer Giveaway Products
If we hit that 500 backers mark, we'll add some extra goodies into the prize pool:
2x Higonokami Japanese Folding Pocket Knives
3x James Brand Cache River Multitools
That's a grand total of over $2000 of prizes in the pool with 30 chances to win!
Just because the campaign has finished, it doesn't mean we are. We want to keep adding materials and upgrades to your kit so you can keep maintaining them and improving your gear as you go. We're already working on a pocket clip which we'd like to launch later in the year. We also want to add some Timascus material to the range (because it looks incredible). We'll keep everyone informed as we develop that. In the longer term, we'll look at larger models and even more complicated builds - by the time we finish; everyone will be pocket knife pros 💥
There are only a couple more days left to get the word out there - if you haven't already, send the campaign to someone who might get a kick out of it!
Cheers guys & thanks again,
Alex
